well, the car has been at my neighbours house for a week now still waiting on the house inspection (we are renting here) the lady next door went away and her son has moved in to house sit untill tuesday, well they had a party friday night and to my horror one of the little bastards had kicked a dint in one of the doors on the car!!! i jumped the fence and had a good look today and the door is knackered, not worth trying to repair (they are usually never worth it) i went over there and spoke to him and basicly said that i dont care who did and i dont care who fixes it but as long as it gets replaced with a straight door then ill be happy. ill get some pics wen i get the trailer back and show you guys. :(

I didnt mean half an ea and half an eb, i meant just the tail lights and boot garnish, and maybe 2 different paint colours, same with the ef and el, just tail lights and boot garnishes, etc..

I still don't quite understand what you mean, but nearly every time a car is painted in 2 colours it looks like it's been in a crash and repaired with panels from other cars.

split the car/trailer down the middle.. from one side it would be say a green eb, and from the other it would be a silver ea with the appropriate factory alloys.

hmm, I see where you're getting at. Sorting out the garnish would be the only issue I can think of.

And it begs the question: why?

the idea has merit
just very hard to pull it off and have it look good.
i think a clean simple idea works best.

yeah, ill be definantly changing the tail lights to ed fairmont/ghia ones as they look tops and ill find a better looking ea garnish as trailers do not require reversing lights. i will get some pics of the door on the weekend and will have to speak to the neighbour again.

yeah i do but if ed fairmont lights = horn then im sure just a simple clean nice falson garnish would be a bit better then having unused lights there, and knowing that they are there will peess me off well cross that bridge when we get there i havnt forgotten about photos either will get them today

So what you're saying is that you'll combine ED lights with an EA garnish? It won't look that great as the EA has a ridge along the top of the lights and garnish. On the EB/ED, the lights and garnish were completely flat. That would cause the garnish to sit out a bit further than the lights.

My bad. Actually I mustn't have been thinking when I wrote that. The EA garnish would sit in because it curves inwards until it hits that lip at the top.
