Might be a bit wrong, but atleast it's still a V8.

He could've put a SR20 in it. *shudders at thought*

I wasn't suggesting an idea.

Just saying he could've put one of those in, which would be a hell of alot worse than a Chev V8.

This was in Street Machine ages ago, without the blower... Reckoned an LS1 was "cheaper, easier and more reliable" than building a tough Ford motor. I'm all for something different, but his reasoning sucks!

Speaking of late-model engines to throw into an XY... the Falcon Turbo I6 from the BA/F would be cool...

Default Excellent video on keeping left!

10 min Vid, a fine example of keeping left-multilane. NSW Hume.

Maybe that 110km/h needs to come down a bit.

I use this stretch of road a lot, he's certainly not Robinson Crusoe when it comes to driving like this.

Lane discipline in this country is nothing short of appalling. There are rules about it naturally, but it must be my cynical side that says it's not a fishwrapper banner maker, so our police are instructed to stick with "the usual suspects".

Sad thing is, if they did actually enforce the law and start handing out some tickets, some word of mouth outrage would probably see a general habit change in a reasonably short time.

i'd say it would be enforced, but there's never any cops out to do a thing about it? i'm one to always keep left ... as I expect others to!

i think the speed limits are too low, especially if you're driving through 3 states!

Does a much better job of keeping left in Vid 2 near the Canberra southbound exit (like duh) - then sits too close.

I've been reading at the other AUS ford forum various postings about this subject, even motor savvy people get the topic messed up, seems untidy:-
http://www.fordaustraliaforums.com/f...ead.php?t=9675

HWP need to dedicate themselves to this matter a lot more.

Kyro - the only thing stopping an increase in speed limit is the U-Turn bays and the lack of median barrier in parts. Some of those dual carriageways would goto 120km/h and freeway sections out to 130km/h, BUT it requires much action beforehand.

Here in NSW, the RTA have the legislative power 'alone' to raise such limits. I'll follow up on a 'speed zoning gudeline' update that was taking place, or is.

NSW has not ruled out speed derestriction, indeed it will remain on our books as a possibility, atm though all signs are to be removed.

Going on the persons user name I reckon they are from the states, so you could probably understand it a little bit. But it's been a while since I've driven that stretch but I'm sure there are plenty of "Keep Left" signs along the way.

And am I right in saying the driver is holding the camera? It's turned at one stage and there is no steering wheel on the other side.

I'm more curious as to why you would bother posting such a video on YouTube :

Ah the good old Keep Left rule that no one seems to follow, demonstrated on daily basis in Canberra. Nearly had a accident once because some person was doing about 50 in a 100 zone in the right lane.

As I was about to take them on the left they moved into the left lane. Lucky I was paying attention otherwise I'd have a really f'd up car now.
