It's funny working in a car dealership at the moment, I'm detailing all these brand new cars. I saw a VE Commodore today with 4kms on the clock. After work I get in my EA with 286,000kms and have to say it's doing a bloody good job.

199,500k's :1syellow1 bit of a freak nail it of the line and it just sits there in smoke, you have to back off to start moving, took it to wsid this week, it ran 15.84-15.9 all night with massive wheelspin of the line, couldnt get it to hook up, even dropped rear tyres too 20psi, putting in 4'11's and a limo in next week so it should do low 15's which isnt bad for a 200000k car :the_finge

My old 5.0L EFII GLi has 350,000kms plus and still running fine (strong would be the wrong word). I bought it at 240,000kms, sold it to my mate at 310K who sold it to my brother at 350K (for a measly 500 bucks I might add). It's now had a body freshen up (my bro is a spray painter) and will be back on the road clocking up more kays.

My BA only had 64,500kms.

Hey guys.
Im not sure if this is where to ask questions..but..
I have recently bought a 94 ed falcon gli sedan,
Had been running fine until the last few days, it overheats when sitting idle then cools down when moving, i have absolutely no idea about cars so i have no idea what the problem would be, however i checked the overflow resevoir and its bone dry which i gather isnt good... now would this be the problem., and do i just fill the overflow up with new coolant?? thanks to anyone who can help.

You should post a new thread and ask the question as you will get more resposnes

But if your over flow is bone dry then that will be the first cause of overheating while stationary, fill it up then so how you go - use a coolant -anti-freeze anti-boil
