Broncos! They perform well under pressure despite the poor form.

Lets just hope its a good match.

It is pretty disappointing to be going today in Sydney with no local team to back.

I am taking a few NSW VIP customers along and I really had to push to get them to them to confirm they would come.

Funny isn't it. NRL final in Sydney between VIC an QLD and AFL final in Melbourne between NSW and WA. No local team to support in either one.

Im supporting the Bronco's (well i lived in SE QLD for 12 years), im still annoyed that my team (the knights), lost the Jersey Flegg. But hopefully my day can be salvaged ive got $20 on the Broncos.

How good of a game was the Premier League match between Newtown and Eels. Extremely entertaining.

that was an excellent game between Newtown and Parra...

The GF is too hard to pick a winner. Form and confidence is with the broncs, but the storm have been this years team.

Half time 8-4 to the broncos... Too close to call

Well the sporting capital of Australia (Melbourne!) comes up empty handed in 2006.

One thing I find amusing and difficult to explain to visitors to this country is why do the majority of people in Australia's largest and most known city not care for Australia's indigenous sport.

Who cares, i would have thought you would have more touble explaining the game as no-one else in the world has heard of it.

As for the game itself, Brisbane didn't win the game, the bloody refs lost it for Melbourne. Absolutely pathetic display.

What a bl**dy condescending commentary.
NRL and Nine still don't understand the concept of a "national" competition.
"The grand final between , quote" two interstate teams".

And this cr*p from Ray Warren about " I'll explain the rules for the Victorians" Sod off!

Bl**dy disgrace Channel 9.

And are they going to shoot the referee??? How many crook penalties did he hand out!!!!!! 4 points straight from wrong calls.

I have watched Rugby League Grand Finals for over 40 years. That would be the most unsatisfying game I've ever watched because of shoddy referee decisions.

Rugby League is doomed as a sport

Be it done with class or a rse or any other way won't matter in future as the records will only show who won the final, not how it was won.

I agree even though I wasn't going for any team in particular. Key decisions ended it for Melbourne. Add to that the field goal and it was pretty much all over red rover. 15-8 not much points scored. The Storm made some pretty good breaks towards the end.

yeh i dunno..

the try, it obviously went foreward off the guys arm when contesting.
The pass, after hodges touched it so did geyer, and it went into touch.

With regards to the indigenous thing, ..... Look how many indigenous players were playing tonight.. Pull your head in.

Good on Brisbane for winning a good hard game. But that was one of the worst displays by the refs, in the 2nd half that I have ever seen, in a grand final. Melbourne's shot at winning was taken away by some **** poor decisions.

Headlines should read BRONCOS + REFEREE defeat Storm, 2 shocking penalties and 1 disallowed try beat Melbourne Storm. What a disgrace in a grand final, but nobody will remember that, only who won.

Well you must be the only bloke in Australia it was obvious to. Even the commentators called it the other way after watching the slow mo.

Blind Freddy could see the deliberate shephard.

A sport to be classified as indigenous to Australia doesn't require participation of indigenous Australians to classify it as such.

Well, well, well the superior players and refs come to the fore after the game......to all of you ..I say this...DO IT BETTER..and if you can why are you sitting at home earning your miserable 50-80k p/a when you could be a ref and get paid 100/150k p/a to keep fit and make the best decision you can based on what YOU see on the field.
