My New Rear Bar now is on and gray strip has been painted. Now i need the sides and front bar to match Unfortunally the bar is alot lower than i first thought and looks like i'm gonna have to raise the susspension again to get the clearence I need.

Check out the pics below.

Does seem to be sitting pretty low. Adds alot more depth to the rear end now which is good and the exhaust matched to it should look superb.

Simon don't raise it mate. It looks the goods that low!! Who cares about clearance?!?! And if you do have to raise it for everyday, make sure you drop it again for SFS. Hopefully I'll be able to get there to see it!

Looks awesome mate, Yehh i agree just leave it the way it is for now. Wait until you get the sides done and see if they are over the legal limit in height.

I admit it. I don't want to raise it cos it looks SOOOOOOO GOOD. but i'm afraid I have no choice. I only JUST clear drive way (by like 2mms) and that is with 1/4 tank of fuel and no passengers.

Mullet: with a bar intended for twin exhasut i HAVE to do it now and in fact at the time of writing this post I just got back from the exhaust place.

I got a 2.5 Magnaflow Cat-back and I must say I'm impressed with the sound. However I'm sad to say the installation wasn't soo good. When I got home the whole thing had moved to the right and the tips were rubbing up agaist the rear bar. I had a look underneath and found that the clamps?? are shocking. I'll be taking it back on Monday if I can get enough time out of work. Pics are to follow

just getting the bump strip painted would of been good but the bar looks great. are you going to stripe the bar?

Not being able to see the exhaust was always something i didn't like about the focus (mean cars ALWAYS have mean exhausts) and with the exhuast just on the one side was also something i didn't like (I guess I just like things balanced). hence the new rear bar.

As to the stripes, I think If I extend the stripes all the way down it is gonna be overkill, however If I leave it as it is It looks as if it is missing something. I'm thinking of taking some queue's form the lv xr5 and remove the stripe from behind the numberplate and then extend it down the bar until you get to the lower inner portion of the bar and stop there.

Without a doubt, yours is the best looking focus I've seen on these forums and any other. You've done a great job so far. The new rear bar looks good. The white wheels and the stripes go well with the blue paint.

6:30 eh? I was giving my mother a lift to the discount chemist on doncaster rd. I saw the entry into the carpark there and said "forget it. i cant get the car up that ramp without leaving the bumper behind". It was closed anyway so I come back home. Was it a waste of petrol or an excuss listen to those rpm's? you decide

I took the car back to the exhaust place yesturday and got all my complaints fixed. Not too sure how they fixed it as yet as I have been unable to get under the car too look. But it certainlly doesn't move as much anymore and the tips are even now so I've very happy. Looking forward to showing it off at SFS.

I got the bar from Sydney special vehicles (www.ssv.com.au) and had it shipped down almost a year ago now (at the same time i got the chrome brake lights) but I hadn't got it installed until now.

all up the rear bar was about $350. painting and installation was $1500 and the exhaust was $600. expensive YES. but i think the quality was worth it.
