sorry id reply to all pms but server only allows 1 every 60 seconds

anyways sorry but the parts department stuffed up not me i just got to eager...... its the stupid power steering pump covers for $5ish and its $30ish for the PROPER belt cover thing...so HLC you didnt get ripped off

GlennAUII they are similar to the ones you have but the AU model if there is such a thing

P.S. i got the call this morning as i had ordered 4 of them but they were only the small power steer ones.... (i would have bought 20 of the covers for $5ish)

anyways because of that i get a staff discount and proberly a bulk discount if you still want the cover (though with post its probably cheaper through your local ford)

oh the covers are obsolete so whatever is left thats it.

time to go to the wreckers

On the front of the VCT engines there is a sensor (I presume it's a sensor) the sticks out .... that needed a cut out for the cover itself.

The E-series covers do not have this cut out and is neater on the non-VCT engines.

I hope people understand this.

I have the power steer little plastic cover ... not the full front cover ... wouldn't mind getting the full front cover ... and yes I have been told exactly what Tibbo mentioned ... you need the specialised bolt is you want it to sit perfectly.

So what's the difference between a full front cover and a power steering cover? Pictures?

Personally i think it looks better without the full front cover. So you can see the belts spinning.

Cheers

The power steering cover is the little scoop plastic item under the cap on the power steering reservoir that stops drips from overfilling the reservoir ... all it does is sit under the cap. Hence why it's only $5

Yeah ... AFAIK ... my ute has it .. it just stops dripping onto the alternator ... but then when the damn thing leaks from the high pressure hose from the back ... the alternator gets drenched anyway ... LOL

What ... not even the little drip ring tray around the power steer resvervoir.
Damn ... you got ripped off ... hee hee.

If I get a full belt cover ... you can have my PS reservoir drip ring.

Ahhh ... same.
So from what I can tell ... the non-VCT engines will most likely need the EF/EL belt cover ... whereas the VCT engines should already have them standard.
