Default 2006 ford focus spare key

Hey everyone,
My key fob decided to quit, I opened it to and noticed one of the buttons broke off. Figured it would be a great idea to get a spare key and while on ali express I was faced with the options of what chip it is.
Does anyone have a clue?
Thanks!Screenshot_20220715-121407_AliExpress.jpgIMG-20220715-WA0002.jpg

I think you need to buy a replacement key. I broke something in mine when I tried to change the battery, so I went to my local Ford Dealer in Epping "Bayfords" where I bought the new key, but then the new key had to be programmed within the service area. The key was cheap but the programming was around $170. This was around 6+ years ago, and I had Ford employee pricing so wouldn't know the cost now so you will need to talk to your nearest Ford Dealership

Hi, My key did the same. I soldered the micro switch back on. Worked fine. I had a spare key cut & programed by Morley Multi services in Perth. Western Australia. $90 for a flip key & programming.

From checking this website, it sounds like 40 bit is the original, but you can use 80

Chip ID: TEX 4D 63 (80-Bit - backwards compatible with 40 bit keys)

I'm guessing once you replace the chip you'll be able to program it yourself using Forscan

did they 'clone' the key tho? coz if it was it just means you have two the same ie. car views keys as same not different keys.
