Still about another 180 or so people to join before we hit 10,000.

But we should hit 10,000 by the middle of next week or something.

Anyway great job AFF.

The launch date was around Dec 31st 04, back then it was only an IP address - not an URL!

If you hover over the latest member the user ID is 10497. So does that mean over 500 people have been banned if I'm right in assuming that a ID is only assigned once even if a member is banned/deleted. Sort of like Microsoft Access when you delete a record the with an autonumber it is not used again in that file.

No

We remove users that sign up and dont post, or return to the forums over X amount of time.

Banned users retain their unique ID, but cleaning out stale user names keeps the numbers real and some user names open for others.

No use having 18,000 members where only 4000 are active and the rest havent logged on into the forums in 12 months or longer!

:hihi: :hihi: : :hihi: :hihi:

Damn, I should have waited another for another 791 members to join up and then I would have been the 10,000th.

I doubt very much if thats a true and accurate number..
Here at AFF, Admin purges out all the users that are inactive and or haven't visited or posted for some time..
our number of users here (10,000) is a true reflection of active users...
For example if Admin didn't purge this site, who knows we could have had 12,000 plus member's..
On the old site I haven't posted for around 10 months but I am still a registered user and I know there are many more...
