Default Setup for ED

Gday,

I am a recent drag racing addict, thank the FF nats for that and Im after some advice on setting my car up to maximise its grip and launch.

What are some decent components, setups and theories to get it off the line? I haven't had traction issues but it hasn't been to the track with the C4 and 3000 convertor, which I'm a little worried might struggle as now ill actually leave the line on boost.

Before I go adding more HP I wanted to make sure it can put this power down first.

It uses a 255/60/15 MT drag radial, 3.27 Diff and has approx 530hp and usually traps at 126-7mph with the BTR in it.

Tyre pressures with the Drag Radials will be critical . Some say start them high and work your way down to find the sweet spot on them .

Otherwise its trial and error my friend Good luck

I had best luck at 20psi at Heathcote, I'm hunting around looking for a set of 90/10's and something suitable for the rear.

90/1-'s are good , but can sometimes be too light ont he front end . When you launch they can just throw the front up too quickly and rebound alot faster taking all that weight thats been thrown rearward, back to the front again .

80/20's are good compromise .

You running a two stage boost controller?

Keep the suspension stock,Pop and just work on it each meating with all changes logged.I think you wont have much drama hooking up once the tyre heat and psi are established.

Whats the rear end look like underneath?
