Default BA GT manual times

I know this has probably be been done over & over again but:
Wondering what times you people are getting out of manual Mk1 BA GT's & what modifications you have done to acheive this?
Will give me a direction for mine
Thanks

On the dyno's the auto looses about 10kw due to the stall convertor but doesnt mean they have less power at all.

I have run a stock manual MKII GT ran 14.0@102.7 in warm conditions havent heared of many manual GT's having a go at the strip, the sedans rear c/v are like tooth picks snappo!!

GT-P 738 and DJL351 BOTH RUN MANUAL GT'S. I think DJL has a best of 13.8 and GT-P 738 mid to low 13's.

I have the Heavier Super Pursuit Manual. PB is 13.1 at 107, with a 2.1 60'. Thats with 6 speed manual, 3:45 diff, Custom exhaust, 3" difilipo cats, 4-1 pacemakers. G&D CAI, 100mm intake tube, 25% race underdrives, light steel exedy flywheel and clutch. Plus xtreme ford custom tune (And oil pump gears). I know it can do a 12.8 if I can ever launch it.
I dont know any times for manual gt, but have heard of consistent 12.9-13's with similiar mods.

No John.... not any more.

13.895 was done last weekend. Helix Spacer, Thermostat and magic black box with BPT tune.
(APC exhaust after Xmas)

I was able to get a low 14.1 out of here before the Mods were done.

All my runs are done on 3/4+ tank of fuel and with spare in the boot too.

Don't pay attention to the MPH I've been told it is bogus.
(all other runs that night were around the 102-107 MPH mark)

when GTP738 ran a 13.17 106-108 mph all he had was rear exhaust done, under drives and cai. Xtreme Tune. He had stock headers, stock cats street tyres(No MT's)

that should be a good bench mark.

I have put together plenty of GT manual cars but none of the guys or girls are interested in running them down the quarter, some are very very tough with 4.10 diff ratios, textralia clutches, rip shifters, 280 RWKS. It's a pity cause they will definately run in the 12's with decent rubber on the back......

Regards Craig

These cars make the power it's just a matter of getting them off the line with no wheelspin.

With a manual car you need a clutch that can handle some abuse, by dropping the clutch it's does your driveline no good at all and most times you end up with wheel spin. You need a clutch that has the ability to be able to handle it being ridden out of the hole.

Tyres, M/T street radials with a manual car are not real good. Slicks and light weight rims are the go.

hey craig, do you think there may be a customer out there with a gt that could possibly do high 11's or real low 12s? i think that people who buy these cars just want to cruise and have fun once in a while.

I was heading that way but now may go the 3:7's. Mainly because I think it would be much better on the tracks with corners, wich is where I like it most
Would still see a genuine 12sec street ute with 3:7's

I am also very impressed with my Exedy ceramic button clutch. it drives like a stock clutch and I can step off the clutch at 5000rpm with no problem on MT's. It does not feel not viscous at all.

Try and run the numbers without anything but bolt ons and STD driveline!!!!!

The 60's will kill you everytime in a manual .

We have a couple of BA GT (Sedans not utes) customers with auto's running 12.3 - 12.4's now but as i said earlier no-one with a manual has had a real crack. High 11's is a big ask in naturally aspirated form unless you strip some big weight out of it and hope to hell that the driveshafts hold on.

A BA GT with weight reduction, slicks and racing lightweights, 4.10 diff ratio, hi-perf clutch will give 11's a nudge no worries.

If i can run a BA XT 3V with 235 RWKW to consistent 12.7's surely with 280+ RWKW from a GT it would happen.

Anybody willing to let me be a test pilot with there car call me, lets do a deal. : : :

The quicker we see the billet CV's the better. They have been tested but they seem to be taking forever to be ready for sale. Just a matter of time.

From memory someone in sydney has them for i think $1200.00 each. I reckon that's just to expensive, but we have some stuff happening that should work out sometime early in the new year.

20 min away (everywhere here is 20 min away ) I could be there I reckon. Just have to bum some rubber and make sure the missus has not got me booked in anywhere. And I wanna see the doctor for a checkup.

(knew I should have looked at doing the diff gears last month)

Thats alot cheaper than the ones I've heard about. They are twice as thick as the standard ones and the price is estimated to be at least 4-5k for the whole package. CV's, diff cage etc. Supposedly good for something like 800hp.
