Of course I'm in!!!! Gonna be a pearler of a day too!!!! So far, I think we have 11 entrants from the club....

Will be a great day if anyone is thinking of coming down for a look. If you are, just let me know, so I can put your name on the gate.
Wanna get even closer, throw your hand up and help with Flagging?

Slot me in, entry sent, muffler fixed, and hopfully enough rear brakes to last the day!!! :

I should have organised the brakes earlier, but since I have only had 10 months to do it I just couldn't find the time :

Hey GRNKPR at the moment I know of the following from the club whom are 'playing': Graham (Mustang), Michael (AU), Vin (Typhoon), Chris (XE), Rob (AU), Brad (Ute), Rob (EF), Matt (BMW - new member), Amedeo (Skyline - something different this year....), Carey (AU), Grasshopper (EB) and apparently Keith was supposed to be entering also.

Heard from Mark with the ex-V8Supercar and he will be on the track in the middle of the year as he has got a couple of things to finish off before putting it on the track. Will be one to look out for.

Well what an amazing day it was yesterday.

I must start with the thank you's - Xitdxr and Stitch, Motiv8, Seagull, GRNKPR and friends, XR06, and KA.

"Fail to prepare, prepare to fail" pretty much the story of the day for me. :

I had some issues with rear brake pads as I thought they were quite low, it turns out that if I had taken the time to take them off I would have seen that parts of the pads were, shall we say, gone! I went out in the first session :togo: and this was the end of the rear callipers as we knew it. The pistons pushed out so far due to the lack of pads that it broke the seal when we tried to wind them back in.

After some assistance from those above in stepped Motiv8 and Seagull who did a quick run to the shop to get a rear axle and bring it back to Sandown for me. We then got to work on removing the other callipers and swapping them over. So after missing 2 sessions I managed to get back out on the track for the last timed session and a multi sprint. My only real run of the day was the multi sprint as the other sessions were subjected to a plug lead not being on properly so #2 cylinder wasn't firing.

In the end it was a good day filled with dramas.
