Default Quarter mile thread

If my car does a 14 second flat quarter mile and after a few key mods does a 12.5. Over a quarter mile how far ahead is a car that does 12.5 than a car that does 14.0?

50 meters?

I most likely will get flamed for this, but isn't a 10th of second about a car length on the quarter mile. So if around 1.5 seconds gain, length would be around 15 car lengths, 60 metres.......

will, after said 'key mods', you get a "jink" in your step?
and then feel insecure about having an auto?

It's obvious to we older drivers anyone with a jink has a real problem , I drive an auto in all but one car and it's a 6 speed... (jink is one who makes odd choices in life , right ?)

An ill informed one , I recently destroyed a youngster with one of my older toys ( a Jag) but then I guess running some boost on a little twin cam motor is cheating judging from how he screamed ( maybe he is a little girlie
