http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Brand-New...item46053f879d

will the rear view camera and module work in a Titanium without the camera factory installed?

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/230788313...84.m1423.l2649

What are people thoughts??

I would be interested in the rear view camera, but will it be compatable with the current display screen? Does the kit come with the wiring etc? Or is it plug and play?

I've always wondered this myself.

However if you put your car in reverse, and look at the screen it says 'camera' however it is greyed out.

So I am assuming it should work? The Europeans have the exact same model as us and they have had the reverse camera from day 1.

Just went to the car and put it into reverse but I could not see any greyed out 'camera' in the display. Which display the one for the audio or instrument cluster?.

Hi man,

The echomaster lights will work you just have to wire them into the parking lights. This should help http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/s...ght=echomaster

I have the OEM "Focus" scuff plates and these look to have the same moulded look to them but IDK.

Ah the reverse camera - - I have been in contact with both Tasca who are behind that eBay listing (That's just the module, you will need the camera and harness) and Tousley Ford and both of them are unable to confirm if the camera is plug and play. There are aparently 61 different wiring harnesses for SYNC and non-SYNC and SYNC with MFT.

My plan is to wait unti the Thai built cars arrive and get Ford to fit SYNC and the camera so they can have the problems with harnesses.

Please keep us updated on this mate, as I too would love to have Ford SYNC!

The audio cluster.

It sometimes appears, sometimes dosn't. Next time it does, i'll take a photo and post it up.

Or I may be confused when selecting 'active reverse park'.

I have seen it though, not lying

Wha . . why is the font so huge

I don't know yet and my dealer is trying to be discouraging. I might have to source the parts myself once I can get a Thai built VIN. My dealer said I could be up for $2K at least.
I've seen the prices of the camera, module and body panel with camera cutout add up to $500 US. I'd also need the APIM for SYNC and the camera wiring harness.
I'm thinking a $1k to $1.5k exercise worst case. To add perspective to that cost I had a quote for an auto dimming rearview mirror with inbuilt 4.3" reverse cam screen and cam for $900 installed. Probably cheaper options on eBay but not OEM like SYNC/CAM.
Believe me if I can get it done cheaper I will I'm not crazy.

They do have the option for the Camera in Europe as is stands, so my bet is it can't be that hard? The Focus C-Max has had the reverse camera since launch.

That's right but they are only getting SYNC in the ST from what I've been told. All I should need is a Thai Ti VIN. Waiting waiting waiting

SYNC will be great! Will it be a fairly large change to the electronics of the current car? In otherowrds a chance of a DIY install with some Ford help from a service manager friend? Or best leaving it to ford?

Also I gather no one has a definitive answer on this camera and camera module working or not?
