Default Intercooling is not cheap!

Whilst removing the top secition of my cooler on the weekend I broke one of the water pipes off it and as the cooler is small, I figured it time to get one more efficient.

For those who have no idea what I am rambling about, below is a pic showing my cooler set up.

So the black think on the left with LTDHO on it is being replaced. Now the reason for this thread is the price. I may be spending up to $1000 for it.
Now it will not be a stock radiator cooler, ir will have internal tube fins, etc and should be twice as good.

I'm hoping that the motor will be easier to tune, be more economical and maybe increase of power(not important), Also it will look prettier

Have you decided what you're replacing it with yet?

I thought a more efficient cooler and more power was a given with boosted cars.

is it worth fixing it as a spare?
how hard would it be to repair.

damn water to air costs too much! :|

The current cooler is too small and doen't flow enough for a blown 5.7. But I got it at a good price.

It will be alot cheaper to get it repaired, but I need a biggerone anyway as the current one is choking the motor. No point repairing it just to replace it.
