Default Who did this?

I just noticed in my profile, my location has been changed to "CITY" and biography to "I AM GAY". I noticed the change in location and thought it had been done by a moderator after/during my ban, so ignored it until it was pointed out to me that the biography had also been changed just then.

Who did it?

I'm going to jump to a conclusion and say one of the moderator's or admin did it. Am I right?

I'd very much doubt it.. Pink avatars maybe for misbehavior.

Other than that bad behavior is usually a holiday.

Well I didn't do it, and nobody knows my password so it has to be a 'inside' job.

Who was it? My location change was obviously done by a mod, but then funny how my biography changes at the same time and it's also in capitals. I should be on CSI.

Sounds like you need to contact the FBI =)

Well, I wouldn't be suprised if it was an inside job...

You should change your password just incase it's some random..

Sundeep, Mods do not have the power to change profile details, only avatars. It wasnt a mod.
Either an admin changed it (unlikely... bit to childish) or someone has cracked your password.

If it is a moderator or administrator then their access will be removed from these forums full stop

Maybe have a good look at who has access to your login and password and where you have been logging in.

I wouldn’t have a second thought in banning you based on your history, but I would never consider changing your profile as such you have described, nor would I have expected one of the admins or moderators to do so.

It will be looked into

None of the admins are that childish or subtle. We would just nail you properly. As Laminge said, it'll be looked into but I would be checking your friends as my money is on one of them doing it.

Do you have the box checked for "automatically log me in" .... do others have access to your PC/internet connection???

I'd say this is the likely case.

Has something been done to the remember me feature because of this possibly? For some reason every time I come to FF I have to log back in. Never had an issue before and every time I make sure remember me is checked I still have to log in.

Are these two issues related?

You may need to check it again. It appears to be back on the CITY etc.

I'd be checking your 'history' in your browser to find any references to the URL to the User Control Panel or similar within the fordforums.com.au domain. Then see if there are any times this was accessed in recent history vs your activity on this board that you cannot account for.

Could be a mate used your PC?

Its a touchy one, people have complained on forums that I have been a mod on and others where I have been a regular member about Admin changing their details such as editing signatures that don't suit admin or avatars that have unwelcome content... Lets face it, it happens, right or wrong... I send a mate of mine a copy of a car magazine once a month to read while he is a guest of her majesty and he gets it with black texta blanking stuff out and pictures cut out of the pages, so even the good stuff gets censored sometimes. Lucky I don't send him some of the other mags I read, after they cut out the stuff that most 18-24 yo blokes enjoy there'd be nothing left

Its also worth mentioning, though unlikely, that someone may have 'hacked' your computer.

A simple keylogger will record every keyboard stroke you make and therefore has a record of your old password and your new one.

Have any enemies?

I predict that within 100 years, computers will be twice as powerful, 10,000 times larger, and so expensive that only the five richest kings of Europe will own them.

If The Flintstones has taught us anything, it's that pelicans can be used to mix cement.
