I've been collecting it over a period of time so it would be hard to guess a figure. However I've ordered another $150 worth of track with the hopes of building Bathurst. Assuming that I've got the space I plan to be adding buildings and landscape to suit a 90's era Tooheys 1000.

That he is. 1 time only, special appearance from the states. Although I think he needs a tyre change as his lap times have been dropping off.

That'll do.
I know it wouldn't be to scale, but I was going to offer to sit on the side of the track with a few mates drinking Tooheys New and yelling out obscenities to any female visible. I even have a few Bathurst 100 commemorative Tooheys cans from the '89 and '90 race to make it look real. Bet the beer is off by now though!

When it's finished (hoping it it'll look as good in real life as it does in my head and that it will fit into the lounge), you'll always be welcome to come past, have a few drinks and hell, Johnson may even let you have a drive.

There is going to be alot of custom work to get the Bathurst atmosphere going. Such as the crowds on top of the mountain. tents, banners, ride on lawnmowers, empty beer cans. etc, etc, etc. I recently bought some pit garages which, with a little moddification could look like the Bathurst ones. Also bought some grid girls and "pit babes". Hopefully arriving in the mail soon.

New pictures:

I'm still waiting on the final track pieces to arrive before I put any real effort into buildings (most of which will have to be hand built.

The final track pieces have arrived and settlement for my place in Pakenham took place today. woohoo.

I've confirmed that the whole Bathurst layout just fits into the room. (photos to follow). As you'll be able to see from the photos, there is no room left to walk around the track and therefore can't be a permanent setup. Now I plan to redesign a compact track to sit on a table in the rear of the room.
