Default Customised 2 door AU sedan - take a look!

Hey guys, this popped up on eBay - this guy has re-engineered an AU sedan into a two door coupe with a Chrysler 300C front grille?!?!

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ford-falcon-2...#ht_500wt_1156

IMO, it's a head turner for all the wrong reasons
Still, good on this guy for trying something.

Has anybody seen this car in the flesh??

and from the pics that i have seen, i dont mind it at all.. its just about being different..

it could still do with an S2 dash/door trims etc...

Too big of a boot! And the Chrysler grill should be higher IMO!
But nice concept!

The car was originally hail damaged, hence the backyard/shed conversion works.
The rear section of the roof has been cut off, and the boot extended forwards.
Personally I think that the alterations have made the car a little disproportionate, however with a few minor? changes, could be made to work. I'd be tempted to try removing the bootlid area entirely & fitting a wide benchseat into an open air section - might work as a bit of an event cruiser..

That has to be the ugliest AU i have ever seen. the 300c grill doesnt do much for it either.

I actually like the 300c grille. But the back looks funny - the whole car looks funny. But it is different!

It has an XR type supercar front bar, custom grill, high series bonnet and chrome trim and a bulge. Geez, way to take every part of every AU made and paste it together.

Any AU with the supercar kit was ugly enough without having engaged in coitus with a 300c and giving birth to a retarded bowel baby as such.

good on 'em for trying though i guess

that made me wtf as soon as i seen it. doesn't look very appealing at all. i would've left it as an xr coupe. would've looked sweet. 300c grill ruins it.

Build cost was approx. $35k for this monstrosity. The brains behind this should be fuced and burnt at the stake.

There was/is only one AU coupe that looked the goods. The 300+ coupe that Ford originally supported and partly funded, but then pulled the plug on the project in the 11th hour. The 300+ was to represent the KW output at the flywheel, but it had more than that at the rear wheels!! In 1999, when this project was originally penned, that sort of power levels would have been unheard of in a Falcon. Ford then decided they'd stick with the FTe vehicles.

The car looks a little different from the original in the above photos. The original car had different wheels, spoiler, headlights, ect. Looked waaaay better than the above version, which is what it looks like currently.

Original car photos below.
