Best I found was this...not sure if's its the right conversion though

It came up with 398.47Nm for 293.9 ft-lbs torque

http://conversion.maribi.com/

I went to online conversion then energy and typed in your ft-lbs figure

Jeez, Rodderz, I went downstairs to see what the imperial-metric gauge said on my torque wrench... took the pup out for a wizz, couldn't find the torque wrench...

Did I waste my time taking the pup for a wizz? Naah, cleaner carpets!

it's as simple as this, OK:
kW x 1.35 = hp
hp / 1.35 = kW

AND IT'S THE SAME FOR TORQUE:

ft-lb x 1.35 = Nm
Nm / 1.35 = ft-lb.

Hope that helps.
