got a car that needs money spent to get a road worthy (oil leak, tyres, brakes) that puts up the cost of geting it roadworthy. we brought a new car and went to trade in the old one and got offered nothing for it. but these people have offered a bit more. just wanting to know if people have used them and been happy, had troubles ect

I got them to quote me on a purchase price for my BA XR6, just out of interest.
They offered me "$6000 to $8000" for it, which is about $7000 less than the current median sale price on Carpoint.

The only thing it really means is that the owners want more than their car is actually worth. The $6000-$8000 that they offered you is bang on the money, the same as you would get at ANY car yard in this country. Remember, they have to clean the car up and sell it and still make it worth their while. What you think your car is worth and what is actually worth are 2 different things. |

the price the offered without seeing it is roughly what red book say for trade in. 1900-3500, so they were close to the mark. seems like a good deal

Very HARD to determine a cars worth over the phone or even from pics
You would be surprised how many people ring mobs like this and similar and are happy to get a fair amount and dont have the hassles of the weekend warriors haggling My brother in law sold his last car to the wreckers (1985 bommadore driver)not a month ago Wreckers offered him $50 and he took it Didnt want the hassle Davway, Pritty much sumed it up What its worth and what you end up getting are totally different |
