Does anyone know the size of the slot for the factory stereo system in a 2002 LR Focus? Would a double din (10.5cm x 20.5cm) system fit?

its about 1.5 DIN
2 din would involve a bit of hacking up of the facia BTW iv got a 1 DIN + pocket facia kit for LR focus if you need one

Just to make life easy, the DIN size in the LR is 1.8!

geez, they went out of their way to make it difficult huh?
If you get on www.focusfanatics.com (i assume its still there, it's a US site) quite a lot of the kids on there have installed double din units and a few even made decent how-to's to boot.
