Default Typhoon Rims

Hey All,

What do you think a set of 19" typhoon rims would look like on a red au XR?

Here is the link to the rims:

Yes i think they would work, but your car would need to be low slung for a tight low look and the car / tires would need to be spotless for best effect.

Thats definately a go mate! Do it exactly like you've done in the chop. If those 'phoon rims were 18's I'd think about replacing the Azzuro's with them.

They look awesome! I'm definitely getting these when i've got the money.

You might wanna consider them, they are $300 cheaper and i've heard are better to use for an au.

The other thing to consider is that 19" tyres are substantially more expensive than 18" tyres. Not trying to put you off the 19's (they look freakin awesome), just something that I find few people consider until its time to get new tyres.

Even without the body kit that should prove a pretty tidy combination, as the shape of the spokes flow with the body shape of the AU pretty well.

Yer I really like the look of them, What would a set of Kaotics with Dunlop 245/45/18 rubber on them be worth? would $850 - $900 be a fair price?

Are the Kayotics yours? If so, chuck up a pic with them on your car.

I've got my car lowered a couple of inches and 19" rims, no need to get the gaurds rolled there's heaps of clearance. Jacked the car up from the diff so the wheels were right up in the gaurds and I could just fit my hand between the inside lip of the gaurd and the face of the rim. Same goes for the front, pleanty of clearance. As long as they're offsets the same as factory you're laughing

nice looking rims. you know they're aftermarket copies though?
think they will look good, although, a red XR8 will look good on just about anything and to be a pain in the backside, i'm gonna say i like your chaotics, just lower it a bit more and that will be saawweeeeet!!!
