Default Any Car Day

Hi all.
Just a quick post to let you know that we have organised a club day with a bit of a difference on the 27th of May.

On the Wild Run #2, we had a couple of different cars come on the cruise, therefore the decision was made to organise an "Any Car Day" :eclipsee_ .
The day is aimed at those of you that might have another car in the shed tucked away, waiting for the opportunity to take it out and blow off the dust. Even if the only car you have is your Tickford or FPV you are still more than welcome to bring it, no one is excluded. It is purely the chance to share a common interest in cars no matter what year, make or model : .

Time wise, it will be about 10.30am to meet in the Eltham area, so you have some time to look at various cars, then at your leasure you can either have your BBQ or your picinic lunch : . So bring the car, the family and your lunch for an interesting day.

Contact Nicole or 0412 987 455 for more info and RSVP.
Hope to see you all there!

Oh Seagull, just use the umbrella again, like 1600GT did at the Shannons Sandown day last year!
And I'm sure we can sort out lunch for you. 1600GT is taking his green ute, so they'll be plenty of room!

Yeah and the passenger left a GT stripe on the seat - I have pics !!!!!!

I have heard that a very rare XD turned over last night for the first time in five years- to get ready for this day. It brought tears to my eyes - as the fumes filled the garage. So if you something in the garage that hasn't seen the road for a while pullout ones digit !! :eclipsee_ :eclipsee_ :eclipsee_

Then shouldn't it be "hare"? Coz it goes a hell of a lot quicker than turtle..... mind you I'm still trying to work out what goes faster - the speedo or the decreasing fuel gauge......

But GBG is right about the fuel gauge and speedo - its been a while since its out but from what I remember last time I am sure the Fuel Gauge is going to win

Well it happened the XD lives again.......... and yep the fuel gauge definatley wins!!! :

Thanks to Seagull for giving me a hand on Thursday, I was able to take it along to Coffey Ford on Saturday and drive it for the first time in over 5 years. We went allong to Coffey ford for a club display in conjunction with their 47th Birthday Sale but they wanted different cars from the club not just the normal cars as they had enough of them for sale.... There were six members who brought their cars along which included an AU race car (Rick), XE Johnson replica (Wal), EF XR6 (Rob), ED Moffat HO (Peter), BA Moffat HO (Keith) and the XD........

The XD back again

Three of the cars through Keith's bonnet

Hey pecker, this display was only thrown together at the last minute as we ony got notification of it on Wednesday last week (after the meeting) but they asked for older cars or modified cars as they have got plenty of BA's & AU's for sale in the yard....

Although I am with you on no letter from them as the Dealership where I bought mine from still send me out letters notifying me of any Sales/Promotions that they have got to try and tempt me for a new car..... lucky for them nothing stands out at present as something that I want in my garage

Yeah, I was having a dig at the dealer... Not the club...

They dropped me like a hot potato as soon as I questioned the price they charge for a service.... 'bout $150 above anywhere else I rang.. :

I'm in the process of whacking some piccies on the website...........

Now the question is whether it will come and play at the Any Car day.... MOTIV8 has a little bit of work to do and the ol' girl will be there.....

Well Done to MRSXR-8 who organised a fantastic day......... just one question...... how did you manage to book the weather??????

The drive back was a little chillier than the drive there, but the beanie and gloves did the job - didn't need the scarf !!!!! But, the note and the whole open air experience makes it all worthwhile doesn't it Seagull............?
