We'll probably stay in the same place as last year. Booked a cabin at the local caravan park and happened to run into BurnedOut there . Was close to the pub etc. Maybe we can organise a few people and book out the cabins?

Next step before anyone prebooks accommodation is to see if the show is going ahead in Parkes this year.
I don't know if Daniel has anything set in stone yet?
An alternative is a venue at Luddenham that I know of.

That works for me, Free accomodation at home, 10minute drive to the show.

I don't know if it would be the same without making a big weekend out of it. But maybe I'm just jealous I didn't get to go last year :P

Good on yer Dougie - we'll get the show on the road, looks like the old crew from last year are all going, so that will make for a good time anyway.

Don't worry mate, we would have broken you out the Texan way, chains on the bars of your cell and pull them clean out the wall, except we would use horsepower rather than horses. Then the B-series outlaws would have been on the run. lol

As we would have run in loads of differing directions - we might just have got way. (Still trying to work out how to get the horse/ute on a train).

I spoke with Daniel early last week or the week before (can't remember now).
I told him that people are looking to start booking accommodation and he was going to chase up a few things and get back to us as to whether Parkes would be going ahead this year.
I haven't seen him online since so I don't have any news to tell you guys, sorry.

I bet he wishes that's all. If it was just a matter of people getting together then it'd be a sure goer but the usual public liability insurance and venue hassles like last year have to be sorted and I imagine it'll be a bit more difficult this year for him because he's not living there anymore.
I do hope it goes ahead, hell I'd book accommodation today. It's was a heap of fun and BTW your turn for breakfast Monday morning : :

The venue should be to much to organise - council has a file from last year, likewise insurance........
And yes I remember it's my shout!

Council yep, public liability insurance - we used Orana or Dubbo's Club (can't remember). Have to pay for that privilege, hence the entry fees. The canteen, awards, prinitng and prizes have to be organised too. I hope all the people who commit to coming this year pay their entry fee and actually turn up. Last year there were quiet a few no shows and it was touch and go. I think some of it came out of Daniels pocket just so it could go ahead for us.
Hopefully we'll hear from him soon.

Maybe we can do a "B-Series big breakfast out" if we get a few of us staying at the one park eh? Don't shout too loud. If the past is anything to go by there will be some people nursing some sore heads I'd say

The only one with a sore head would be Grum - haven't heard from the bloke since.

There were a few issues last time with people not coughing up. Maybe we need to organise a pre-payment system?

I've made enquiries and can set up a P.O Box and a dedicated account for entrant payments. In the event that it doesn't go ahead all fees can be refunded etc.
I still have the original entrant forms on the other PC too I think.

That's what we thought last year, ended up with a huge list of people that had put their names down to attend but ultimately didn't pay the entrant fee and didn't show up :

IF people were to put their names down, with pre-payment as acceptance and say a percentage refund if they had to pull out would prove commitment.

It's the easiest thing in the world to post on here you are going to turn up and then not bother. I've noted this issue on a number of cruises I've been on.
