On an AU with the standard AU piping and no air filter it pulled 118rwkw, I then put my EF piping on the AU with the pod on it and it pulled 118rwkw, so as you can see real life test and not frig of difference to be found.

However the little elbow and single pipe does look better

Default Improvement

I have a Custom 3" mandrel bent pipe from the Air box to the throttle body. The best thing you could do is cut a bigger hole from the air box into the pipe. I have modified mine to match the 3" pipe.
I also have a flex joint from the box to the pipe.
