G'day, first post.

I've owned an XW Wagon and an EB Fairmont in the past. No Fords at the moment but will be looking for an FG XR6 once the Mrs car (Disco td5)is paid off.

I started my apprenticeship at a Ford dealer in 1986 when XF's were new and last worked as a tech in 2003 when BA's first came out.

I've owned plenty of cars including a few Holdens. I'm part way through restoring an EH atm.

My specialties were diagnosing fuel injection and auto trans problems. Happy to answer any questions that I can still remember how to solve!
Cheers Dave

Hello, my name is Mick and I have always owned fords and still do. My very first car I bought off my grand father, which he bought new, when I was 19 years old and I still have it and I am now 53 .The car is a 1970 xw ute which I used for work for some 19 years as a builder which I then took off the road and restored 14 years ago. Still a beautiful car, 302 v8 etc. We also have a 1965 mustang fastback 350 shelby clone and daily drivers are 2006 ford territory and a 2011 ford dual cab Ranger. Definately ford people. We have owned a variety of cars over the years but always end up back with fords. I am sure this forum will be beneficial to me with all the experience I see here on these pages so a big hello from lea and mick.

Hi all. My name is Ted and I've been poking around this forum for a while as a guest and figured it was time to say hello. Have a V8 AU ute and a Territory Diesel. Had Ford's all my life - from Anglia, through Cortina's and a heap of Falcon's including a Phase III HO in the 70's, so I have blue blood.
If anyone has any ideas about how to make my AU stop as well as the Territory, I would love to hear from you.
Regards and happy new year to all, Ted

Hi today I picked up the first brand new car I have ever bought. A 2012 Territory Totamium Diesel. Love it so far and hopefully will learn a lot from this forum and maybe in the future provide info about this car from personal experience!

Hello All, We have a mk2 Escort (1980) that has been in the family for 3 generations. First purchased by Nan in the 80s then passed onto dad and now in our hands. Its in mostly original condition and is what I would call grandpa spec. We are going to keep it looking original but will definitively upgrade suspension, brakes and performance.

See you all in the forums.

I have a 1995 EF sedan. Yesterday the battery died (it was about 5 years old) and I got a new one from NRMA. Anyway, on the way home I noticed that the battery waraning light kpet flickering and then came on permanently. Does this indicate that the alternator is buggered? Or could it be the belt?

Also, about 6 weeks ago I hit a kangaroo. It went straight under the right-hand front wheel and didn't seem to do much damage. However, the next day a plastic pipe 50mmm in diameter about 530 long and shaped like a "z" or lightning bolt dropped out into the wheel arch. It took it out and it doesn't seem to make any difference. Does anyone know what it is and what purpose it serves? It has a rectangular fitting at one end but the other end is round with a flange (looks like a cam). Anyone know what it is?

Hi all I've been a member for about a year but never posted anything so here goes I'm from melbourne and have an XB coupe been restoring it on and off for about 15 years thanks to dodgy panel beaters which have set me back a few years and thousands of dollars. So I'm looking forward to posting some pics and getting your feedback.
