Reg also varies depending on where you live as well, city, country. I live in Gippsland and paid $493 for my landcruiser.

It'll be just under $600 a year then with no need for a greenslip or anything like that. You just pay your rego over the internet each year and keep driving.

You'll be closer to $593 then for rego, being in city the outer suburbs. You'll need a road worthy certificate from a mechanic, when you first get your Vic rego. $100 maybe, I haven't gotten one for ages. After that just rego each year, no extras.

Beat me by that much!!!

No need to haggle with insurers for green slips, and no annual roadworthys even for old bombs!

Also, custom plates are a once off fee, none of this $400-odd a year malarky to lease them.

on a cheap little runabout (88 Corolla) in VIC it cost approx $490 with the driver reward (no demerits i think) thing. Here in NSW it cost $50 for an inspection (like a roady) $480 for the greenslip (under 30) plus rego and plates $260

so yeah it costs a fair bit more

yes vic rego includes ctp.greenslip in nsw is basically like getting a roadworthy everytime your reg is due..

we need that in vic to get all the unroadworthy cars off the road.

It's included in VIC. Greenslip is CTP you negotiate with insurers on yourself, and have ready when you renew the rego along with the pink slip (roadworthy).

As above, in NSW green = CTP, pink = roadworthy.

Im im Brisbane and it is $801 for my AU six cylinder Mont and $590 for the Mrs BA Ghia six but thats on pensioner consession you are only allowed pension rates on one vehical per address to bad in a retirement home
also once you get a safety certificate (roady) the cars rego is yours for ever as long as you dont let it run out if you let it run out for even one day its a $48 penalty or if its out for 30 days you start again
hope this helps John
