Ford is offering buyers a lower starting point to climb into an Everest.*
The blue oval brand has added three new, more affordable model grades to its Everest range, while also slicing into*some of the sticker*price for the current grades.* A new point of entry has been established with a five-seat, rear-wheel drive*Ambiente*model that is priced from $47,990 before on road costs. This represents a $7000 saving over the previous entry-level model.* The base*Ambiente*is*joined by a rear-wheel drive,*seven-seat version that starts from $48,990 and a four-wheel drive*Ambiente*with*only five seats, which is priced from $52,990. The current seven-seat, four-wheel drive Ambiente has had its price cut by $1000 to $53,990. 2017 models also feature a range of updates which include an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Ford Sync3 infotainment system as standard which comes with Apple*CarPlay*and Android Auto, a new 10-spoeaker audio system, a 4.2-inch digital instrument cluster and running boards fitted as standard.* The rear-wheel drive*Ambiente*also has a 3000kg braked towing capacity when fitted with Ford's towing pack and tow ball.* Power for the fresh models still comes from the 3.2-litre*five-cylinder turbo-diesel unit that produces 143kW and 470Nm and is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.* Besides the new model variants, Ford has also cut prices*across*the range. The RWD Everest Trend now costs from $53,990, a saving a $2000, while the*four-heel drive Trend variant*also*has $2000 shaved off its recommended retail price and is now priced from $58,990. The Trend models now get Ford's Sync3 navigation as standard.* The range-topping four-wheel drive Everest Titanium now costs $74,990, down from its*previous before on-roads price of $76,705.* 2017 Ford Everest prices** Ambiente*RWD five-seats - $47,990* Ambiente*RWD seven-seats - $48,990* Ambiente*4WD five-seats - $52,990* Ambiente*4WD seven-seats - $53,990* Trend RWD seven-seats - $53,990* Trend*4WD seven-seats - $58,990* Titanium 4WD seven-seats - $74,990* *All prices exclude on-road costs http://www.drive.com.au/motor-news/n...11-gvj6fq.html

As much as the Everest is lovely inside, and by all reports, great on and off the road, anyone shopping for a ute based 4x4 wagon would probably look very seriously at a fortuner or pajero sport for a lot less money.
Hell, a sport exceed costs less than the base model Everest. |

They should have added the LED headlights and DRL from the Titanium to the Trend to update the woeful lighting and give it a visual update and distance it from the updated Ambiente..101 marketing Ford Australia..
