Default XR5 Rear Spoiler

Hi there, have just bought a 2011 XR5, with just 9,500km on it!....a gem :-)......Am looking at doing a a tweak I have in the back of my mind since I had my earlier Focus was written off (LV LX model). I want to to plasti-dip the rear spoiler in matt black to see what it looks like. If its any good, I will do it properly and get it painted with real paint. Only issue is how do I take this spoiler off to paint it? There are 2 bolts on the ends of it...is this all that is needed to remove it? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks

2011 XR5? They finished in 2010. 9500kms thats bloody low.

Yeah couple of bolts to pull it off and also IIRC the cable for the high mount stop light.

the bolts under the boot, just pull the plastic trimming off, luckily the XR5 spoiler has a socket for the wiring so you can just unplug it, and the water you just pull the tube off.

The normal focus spoiler is hard wired in D: so i had to cut and splice for mine to get on, I painted mine in a matte black paint. Thinking of going glossy black now though!
