There must be a way to get Falcons over to the USA. Rescue as many B-series and FG's from being raped and molested by P-platers with no taste, and ship them over to the states where the owners would actually treat them well.

Says it's an S-pack - door cards look Fairmont. Bonnet catch has HOOD printed on it?
Full specs here ... http://www.uniquecarsandparts.com.au...ifications.php

My XD had 'HOOD' on the bonnet release... Always thought it was a bit strange but that's how they came.

S-pak seats, Fairmont door trims
Non-factory colour(?)
No 84 XE was built with a V8
Looks like it's showing close to 300,000 km

It's nothing more than an ugly bitsa, might be worth $2k on a good day.

That green is too dark - factory colour was Jade Green like this example ... http://www.fordmusclecars.com.au/vie...sp?ItemID=4206

I really want a 2003 BA Falcon XR8 Ute badly, however, you can only import cars 25 years or newer for road use. However, I can import parts. It might be the worlds most expensive paperweight, but I am going to give it a go for next spring. Unless I find a nice tidy uncle bobs XF Ute in the meantime.

Collecting parts (need the passenger side rear quarter NOS half if I can find one, got NOS panels all round for the rest of it) working out what I am going to do with that massive 302C for power. Tempting to get a Rebuild 351C instead, but how many Yanks can say they have a 302 Cleveland and mean it!

There's got to be a way to get around it. How much of a car's chassis needs to remain for it to be the same car on paper? If a crown vic, crappy 90s mustang, etc essential bits could be grafted into a Falcon body to legally make it the donor car, this could be a way. How about registering in Canada or South America and driving it that way.

Not for the Falcon. If it was a Commodore, I could get a G8 Pontiac and exchange firewalls, doors, glass and front clip and be 100% legal.

Not a decent reciprocal for the Falcon. Heck, I even looked at the Focus Convertible, but its built on a different platform than our Focus...

On one hand its about the vin number, but when you insure it, you send pictures, even insurance companies are not that dumb.

We will see!

I know in XD you could get the S pack with a Fairmont. My XD was a Fairmont with S pac option. Not sure if the same for XE.

But yeah it ain't worth a fraction of what he wants for it. Especially cause it ain't a factory V8 like he claims.

I did wonder about that after I posted - it could potentially be a Fairmont optioned with electric windows and the "S-pak" but it definitely ain't a factory V8. Even if it was it's irrelevant cause the engine has been changed over anyway. I've got a bit of a soft spot for XE's but this one isn't much...

I know we might be a bit behind the US in some things, but pretty sure 2003 was less than 25 years ago?

Your math is pretty good! Yes its not Over 25 years old, but I can import a car as parts without an engine... It still would not be road worthy though.

I'd take a charcoal black XE ESP anyday, but yeah this ain't within a million miles of 20+k.
