Default Updated Focus - how soon?

Just looking through todays West Australian and I noticed that Ford dealers in Perth are now advertising 2007 CL Focus manual in sedan or hatch for $19990 drive-away. Last week they had them for $20990 drive-away.

Does this mean the updated Focus is only around the corner and they are trying to get rid of current stock? Anyone know when the updated Focus due?

We are thinking about trading the Fiesta for a Focus sedan.

Cheers!

Not really, there may be a update coming, but they are discounting now to keep stock moving, they had supply issues for almost the first 12 months it was on sale, so now they have stock, they need to bring the price down to keep supply moving. I have seen an LX sedan/hatch driveaway for $22,990 which is a great price for that amount of kit.....

That would be good timing. Refocus (pardon the pun) on Euro products.....

They are also bringing out the Focus TDI as well at some stage as well, you would think that would link in with the New product launch.

I just hope thye bring the Mondeo in as a wagon!

I havn't heard of any rumors doing around about a facelift focus. The only major focus related development are the Focus 4x4 (X-Max) and Cabriolet.

facelift focus is about 4-5 months away from what my brother's dealership has heard, should expect the cc, tdi, and mondeo around the same time

Is it an actual facelift with new metal/plastic or just some extra specs from the euro option book?

Looks like Ford will have another new model logjam at the end of the year... Mondeo release, Focus refresh, Orion Falcon in March...

Hopefully they handle it a little better than they did when Focus/Territory came out together.

the focus facelift will include a newfront bumper, (the same as the CC)
mirror mounted indicators, as well as new safety option packs, Leather trim option for zetec, zetec sedan, ghia hatch and a diesel focus hacth.

I was under the impression that the facelift would be here before the CC hits us late this year.

Nappa I think that you could be correct and the updated Focus could be here sooner rather then later.

Just had a look at the Ford Oz website and under "Hot Deals" they have the Focus advertised at $19990 drive-away as a runout in all states. Good value there I recon.

A silver sedan plus some black/machined deep dish 18's plus a set of lower springs and colour coding me thinks will do the trick!

According to the last Car Magazine that I got when I was in South Africa, they expect the updated Focus to be released in June there. I would expect the same time in Australia.

How much power does the TDI version put out?

I wouldn't mind one of them.

Yep the 2.0 turbo diesel is definitely the pick of the Focus range, as the power is only 7 kw down on the petrol (100kw vs 107kw), and absolutely blows the petrol away in the torque department (320nm vs 185nm). While 0-100 times are almost identical (about 9.2 secs), when it comes to in gear acceleration, the diesel absolutely annihilates the petrol, making it feel like a much faster car.

Obviously where the diesel really wins out is the fuel consumption. It gives a combined figure of 5.6L/100 compared to 7.1/100 for the petrol, and can get as low as 4.6L/100 on the open road. Still, as impressive as the Focus diesel is, it pales in comparison to the new VW Golf /Audi A3 diesel unit. That little baby puts out 125kw and 350nm!

I just bought an LX yesterday for $23,995 on the road and that included metalic paint and dark window tint. I'm also pretty sure they had Zetec's for $26,990 drive away. The dealer said a new model is coming in a few months with some cosmetic changes, along with a diesel version and a CC.

He means the trip computer in the centre bottom of dial cluster.

Wonder if the Sony system will get red LED instead of the green it has now then?

You mentioned spoiler. I'm guessing you got the sedan? I'd like to see pics of the sedan with a spoiler. What color?
