The ONLY reason to fit the bulge would be to fit a Mr Kenne Bell under there.

until then no need to discuss!
Totally agree, chazs au shows how right a fg bulge looks on a au...

They do nothing for me even on the cars they meant to be on, B and F series.
I'm more into subtle exterior mods.

Personally, I like the bulge on the AU.. The AU has quite a narrow, sloping front. I think the bulge squares off the front end making it appear larger and not so droopy.
With the LWB's.. They have such a huge rear end, I think the bulge would help bring the front into proportion when looking at the car as a whole..

From experience, driving a car with the bulge on it, it's actually quite a nice view from the driver's seat too..!!

Yea that's one thing that really annoys me about the AU shape and it's limitations when it came to the Fairlane styling.
The front end just slopes down way too much giving that droopy look to what was otherwise a great design.
I wouldn't mind a bulge on my TL

Depends whether the bulge is purely cosmetic or structural. A structural bulge makes it easier to shoehorn a Barra in, especially a force-fed one.

Isn't the bulge purely cosmetic now on the gt's?

Some things are worth doing just because they look good...

yes definitely looks awesome, and would be practible when it comes time when I put in my Barra engine in my AU to give it a bit more clearance.

Not saying you should or shouldn't. Seeking thoughts on looks, nothing to do with whether you do or dont.

Owners will do what they want anyway Austin.

It's no different to having spoilers or body kits on cars. They are useless and are for style only. Bulge doesn't need to be functional, it can be for looks too.

People take this subject way too seriously. Its all ford, its all good. I am planning to put one on the FG.

Maybe post up some pics of cars with the bulge.

i don`t mind the Au either way, but i do like the power bulge in the bonnet, the way the stock au bonnet slopes away you can barely see it from the drivers seat (you would think you are driving a cab over ),
the old XB XC bonnets with the bulge and integrated scoops are to this day still the sexiest looking bonnet on any ozy henry i reckon, but the current model bulge certainly gives the b series and f series an angry profile in the GT spec, do it !

I voted No.

Not because I dont like them, in fact I think certain models look great with it.

However, it is not something id personally do to any of my AU. The factory lines are what appeal to me.

Nope, sorry looks shocking.

The lines of the bulge look completely wacked out compared to the front end of the AU. In my opinion it looks like a square sitting ontop of a circle, just doesn't fit.
