Hey guys just a quick question with the newer black climate control and trip computers do they just plug straight into the existing plugs onto a ea ghia?

Any help would be much appreciated, Thanks.

An EBII climate control unit will swap straight over, an ED one won't. You can pick the ED one by the CFC-free logo on the front. The problem is that they are wired completely different, so it won't work. As for the trip computer, you can use either EBII or ED trip computers. So basically use an EBII Climate control unit, and EBII-ED Trip computer (plus get a matching demister switch). They use the exact same plugs

That one will work. I know because I have one in my EA. The ones that don't work are the ones with the CFC free logo on the front. Here's proof

Thanks Shaun. It is in fairly good nick. It needs a vacuum at the moment (plus I need to replace my home-made clutch pin with a Mal Wood one so I don't kill my pedal box, which is currently getting a bit bent on the side :( )
