Ahoy all
As you may or may not realise, I am currently looking at buying. I am looking for feedback with regards to the quality of the vehicles they have, their reliability etc. I don't want any hypotheticals or any of that crap. I would like actual experiences please. What little feedback I have found has been positive, but hardly enough to consider them as a viable option. Any help would be appreciated.

Have delivered there for years and always thought them a bit suss, My bad . have since had 2 purchases off them in the family and on both occasions they have stood behind there product 100% even with a unknown problem they offered a full refund, a choice of another car or rectify the original one to a satisfactory out come, would not hesitate to purchase through them again ...
Only down side some of the sales crew can be a bit in your face

Whilst at the SA Regency Pk Vehicle Inspection Station today, was talking with a bloke who has just bought an 08 Turbo Hilux from them.
Said he paid 30k for it and was very impressed with them. From what i saw of the Hilux it was very tidy. As far as reliability is concerned - would depend on the make of car and how well it was looked after with servicing. Remember that secondhand car dealers buy trade ins and auction vehicles. They cannot know how reliable a car is. They can only assess each vehicle on its merits when they buy them same as you and i . Rocket. |

They sell a lot of ex rental and some government cars, late model / low mileage stuff, so if you're happy with the condition and the price then there's not much to lose.

Why not go to the auctions and buy from there - thats what they do and then charge you an extra 5 grand for the privilege.

A month ago they had heaps...just when I'm ready to slap the buckeroos down, nothing becomes available. But I'll talk it out.

I have been scoping Fowles for weeks and their Falcon sedan ranges in my price range are few...BFII is the best I can do. Nothing. Diddly squat.
Maybe consider expanding your horizons a bit. Here are plenty of Falcons - http://www.pickles.com.au/cars/listi...TION&x=18&y=12 Rocket. |

Of the 50 Falcons in Melbourne, heaps are FG (out of my price range unfortunately), a number of those are wagons, and some are 05 and 06 which is also too old for what I want. Fowles had 08 BFIIs going for 12.5. Thanks for the effort though. As before, it is always appreciated.

Parents bought a car from them and its been trouble free. I'll tell you someone to steer clear of in Melbourne. Crown Cars at Car City. They sold me a car which had been written off and repaired. I didn't do the VicRoads write off status check as I thought I was safe with a car yard as they are obligated by law to declare this. Its even a question on the contract of sale. I only found out when I went to trade in the car last week and the dealer refused the trade. Lesson learnt. Always call 13 11 71 and do the VicRoads check.

I register a lot of their cars through my work, and have a good look through all of them to see what they're like for the price. They are all bargains, seriously.
They don't buy through auctions, they are offered cars by Lease company's etc. now, and buy bulk lots. I'm pretty sure they don't sell any cars registered anymore. |
