I had my first VIP (I think,not sure, bomb truck?) experience this afternoon and was wondering if anyone saw it.
At roughly 4.30, at the off ramp to the ring road (geelong way) on the calder I noticed 3 police bikes dash into the middle of the road, so that was a first in itself. They stopped all the traffic, then along comes a police sedan, flanked with two more police bikes. Next to follow where 3ish White Territory's all tinted out, a few white commies, statesmans and then two all black delivery type fans. And then to top it off a mysterious small truck with smoe logistics company logos on it. Finally another police bike at the rear. WTF, anyone else see it? It was very americaniske (sp?) to say the least, bit of entertainment to break up the god awful traffic.

Sounds like the PM's motorcade.
Don't know what the truck would be doing though. Maybe it was full of Ruddbux and he was personally delivering them to people who didn't receive the handout yet.

Yeah it was weird, pretty sure they where going the "back way" to the airport who ever it was. Police on the bikes would be having a ball stop traffic like they where.

The back (Southern) end of the airport has the PM's hangar and a few private/corporate hangars with access that evades the Tulla Fwy. KRudd's 737 usually parks there. Ahhhh i remember back when CHOGM was up here in Coolum in 02 i think it was
I was in my ol XF and merged onto the sunshine motorway right behind a White Statesman, didnt think much of it Then i had a bit of a look around, saw in like 4 police bikes, 1 marked falcon, two unmarked caprices, then 2 statesmans, then me, then 2 unmarked commodores 2 marked falcons and another 4 bikes lol needless to say the guys were ****ed that i got into the motorcade haha so i pulled over and let em pass. dood int he commodore behind me was shooting me with his eyeballs through the mirrors lol |

You see a bit of that out campbellfield way, with 3 little isuzu or similar trucks, with chase cars police motorcycles blocking freeway on ramps etc so you cant get within a few hundred meters of the trucks.
They are on route from Airport to the mint and full of pallets of cash.  :
