We all know the story with the bulb holders perishing and breaking and as a result the taillight not functioning.
I have this issue. Is there an aftermarket loom or bulbholder available? or best going through ford and paying a fortune... especially over here. Part numbers/prices/experiences would be helpful. I also cant just go down to pick and payless and cut one off like i use to. I tried searching, couldnt find anything but i may not have looked too hard. cheers

Narva make the bulb holder and it is the same sort of twist the bulb in type as the factory ones, but I dont know if it is the same size and thats what would decide whether it fits into the taillight or not. A good auto parts store should have one for you to try out, failing that I'll grab a part number.

Just get the BA ones secondhand, the holder is a different material , we got them 7 years ago and never had to look at them again

Yeah i'm pretty sure we used to use BA ones, which were 'the same' except made out of plastic instead of bakerlite. In my memory (which is at least half a dozen years old now) the prices from ford were reasonable.

Bought AU3/BA units on my first AU, about $8-100 from memory. They superseded them from the Thermoset Plastic to the Narva units.
