Unhappy Braking Sound.

Hi Guys,

I have a 2003 Focus Zetec and when i brake it seems to make like a ticking sound. I have called the mechanic to try and get it fixed and he says it might just be the brake pads...
Has anyone else had this problem or know what it is?

Thanks

Havn't had this on my Focus, but had this on my Lancer - its usually an indication the pads are worn, they have a tab that sticks out once they are worn and that can sometimes be it - hopefully nothing major

Yeh i had a look at the pads and they look almost brand new so not sure. hopefully its nothing too major, maybe just a stone in the pads or something.

I had the same problem on my old Ford Laser. Thought there was something wrong with the brakes but turns out it was just a stone wedge in there some how. Dont worry about it dude.
