Default Performance testing

For a long while I've been getting a weekly email from a great online magazine called Autospeed. It is an informative and results based magazine covering a host of different areas of Automotive design and modification.

I thought a recent article worth sharing on measuring performance modifications. Most can't afford regular dyno tests, but this article shows how you can get meaningful real world measurements using a simple stopwatch and all within the speed limiton public roads. A worthwhile read I reckon, and thought I'd share

+1 for Autospeed, there's a lot of useful info in their articles, and a lot of (mostly unbaised) testing of products and ideas.

Mate, I love this artricle.
I'm with the writer in that . . . "I’d trade off a drop in power for better rolling throttle response.".
Interesting bit about the differences seen in his Falcon 0-100 times using different air intake methods.
I suspect the same is true for our Focii?

There's a lot of good reading material in the site. Their opinions on Dyno Testing/Results are very interesting. I've saved it in My Favourites.
