Default Stickers on YOUR car

hey guys

i got pulled over by officer plod on wed goin into mill park and copped a warning for my red parker globes...fair enuf ill pay that one. BUT, i was also informed that the sticker on my rear window was apparently "offensive and vulgar" and that i had to remove it. I spoke to 2 other officers and they both gave me the same story, that it was upto the officers discretion, which made me quite angry! So yeah, the sticker is still there for now, but apparently if she catches me with it again she'll summons me to court......for a sticker....ffs....weak!

btw its a green and gold ralph sticker that says "im rooting for australia"

/rant off!

When we went to Summernats in Canberra we got a custom sticker as below:-

TOURIST
Where's the PORN
Show us your gutted rabbit

Was on my back window..................

Came home and my sisters car broke down so she wanted to borrow mine, which I let her but when it came back it had newspaper stuck over my stickers - what a b1tch!!!

That's a bit harsh. Is that all the sticker has? No images of mating stick figures or anything?

How pathetic.

If it was harsh wording, then I's agree, but that stick shouldn't offend anyone.

Its such a well known quote. Its like a typical aussie thing. "Rooting for Australia". Should have asked her who she was rooting for. LOL. She must have been having a bad day. Its certainly not offensive, i reckon.

Despite my crass mindframe, I would've read your "rooting for Australia" sticker as "barracking for Australia"... I must admit I like the way this female officer thinks!

I just spoke to my mates dad (cop) and he said that some things are up to an officers discretion but that isn't one of them. If it is racisist or sexist then they have to go throught the courts to have it removed what ever it is stickers or signage.

Woman coppers are the worst. I've had to face the wrath of about 4, only 1 turned out OK but not much more than that.

I politely asked one to turn her divvy van's high beams off because we had really hard time seeing past them when we were going towards it (it had someone pulled over on the side of the road) and she told me to get my eyes checked. I just said OK in a whatever way and walked off, but if I didn't wanted to risk my brother's car getting defected I would have reminded her that it IS illegal to have them on with in 200m of any other car.

I can't see that as being either and I think if it was taken to court and asked to remove it a precedent would be set that would be hard to uphold.
It's a common term that we interpret as "barracking" as has been mentioned.

We could always get Lara Bingle to come to the defense.
Ok, I'm in - let's take it to court!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)
