Not bad, I love the sports rear suspension...eliminates the need for anti sway bars

Is it just me, or do you see that picture and immediately want to jump in and take it for a strap...?

It is very light in the rear and as slippery as an eel to try and make it behave in a civilised manner. And it has a locked diff and no rear brakes. Strangely enough, I have no shortage of wanna-be test pilots...

Reminds me of the Austin A7 that Brocky learnt to drive in on his parents farm.

You realise that your description of it's behaviour just makes us want to drive it more...

No, but they are under strict instructions not to do anything stupid while operating the vehicle, and I keep my eye on them at all times...

It's not a free for all either, only the students who worked on it can take it for a drive in the test paddock...

We used to do some crazy stuff in old cars as kids , one had no brakes and a non synchro gearbox , there was no flat ground at all lol try stopping that in a hilly paddock , lots of oh **** moments.....

After many months of languishing in the workshop, I fired up the beast today and gave it a caning in the paddock next to the workshop. I had my shenanigans filmed and as soon as I can figure out how to upload the footage, you will be able to thrill to every turn, gasp at the sleek beauty of its construction, soar with every roar of the untamed 200 CID XB engine!

Alternatively, someone could just tell me how to upload this video because at the moment I am having little success with photobucket...

Yeah if you go to youtube.com, click sign in at the top right and chuck in your gmail details and it will load.

Then it should reload and up the top right you should have upload button, click on that.

Youtube is owned by Google so its all integrated with your gmail account

The Beast Mk IV is under construction now. Its construction team tells me that they want to put rear suspension on this one. This will increase the time to completion however. It will be built around an EL 4 litre 6 with an AU III front set up and diff. It will also be longer as they want to include a shortened drive shaft. I will put up pics as it progresses...

I love seeing creations like this along with home made shooting rigs. That first one makes me want to take it to a skid pan on a really wet day.

The beast has been stripped down to the chassis and next year's senior auto students will try to improve on the original design.

For that purpose, I am after a 250 X-flow and auto or manual in good working order if anyone has one to sell or donate...

Aha, I see TWO AC condenser's in front of the Radiator for next year.

(was that apostrophe in the correct place? )

Mr GasOlane, I can see that you require an intensive course of grammatical correctives to improve your vocabulistics. Otherwise your vernaculars may linguistically horizontalise the perpendicularities inherent in the perfidious nature of your obstreperous proclamations...

Now if you want that translated, all you have to do is send one working 250 X-flow to me and we will call our apostrophes even!!!

I have somehow managed to delete all the pics in this thread. I work in mysterious ways that even I am unaware of...

Beast update. I had the beast rendered inoperable at the end of last year and had the chassis sitting around doing nothing until some of my year 10 students expressed some enthusiasm in rebuilding a better one. I gave them some specs that I wanted to see in this new incarnation and so far it is looking promising...

The old suspension is gone, making way for a far better design...

Incomplete but getting there...

I had hoped to fit a X flow 250, but it seems I cannot get a hold of one, so I will fit an EFI 6 with 4 speed auto. I have also stipulated that it must have rear suspension this time and I will use a locked diff again...

Sorry for blurry photos...
