Default XA GT guard inserts from Rare Spares. Any good?

Rather than buy new guards I have some reasonably good standard ones that I could convert. As I said originality not an issue for a couple of my projects. Looked at the Rare Spare insert & they look OK with a bit of finishing. Has anyone used them? What was your opinion?

Yeh a few people on here have used them, i used them on my ute. you can obviously see the ripples on the outer edge, i cut all the outer edge off, so it was just the insert (if that makes sence), attached is what im on about.
