After reading an update on the fabled 'Chicken coup' Falcon perhaps we could post some other diamonds in the rough.
Lets reserve judgements of the owners and not reveal specific locations. Heres a couple I know of. I've known of this one since I was a youngster, we've all had a go at buying it. Interesting it has a Vic plate on it in WA. Getting worse nowadays. Vermillion fire XY GT, had some love lately, a new tarp after the old one fell apart in recent storms. Mk1 Zephyr convertible, extremely rare car. I've been trying to get this one for about 25 years now. Its a trophy from a bitter divorce and won't be going anywhere. Any others out there?

A guy up the street had a EL XR6 sitting on his front lawn from before 2009 until May 2020 (either sold it or had it shipped to the wreckers). Most of the time it was sitting in the open but then in the last 3 years he decided to put in under a car cover.

This may, or may not disturb some viewers. These pics below are from an acquaintance of my Bil. Old mate says he’s gunna get them all going soon, but obviously has bitten so much more than he could ever chew.
Last photo a bit ordinary.

Hi Guys,
Well storing them outside { under tarps or whatever} will guarantee that they will all come with much more rust than was originally supplied by the factory. If they haven't lived inside a dry shed , expect lots of tin worm. |

There was an old coupe on the front lawn sitting under a tree of a house in Revesby. Was there for years, not there any more. Wonder what happened to it?
Someone on here knows about it as I had referenced it in the past. Sent from my LG-M700 using Tapatalk

I read Tornado and didn’t see Ford in front. My bad. He does like his Oldsmobile’s. There is four that I can remember.

The red cougar? Id like to see more photos of that one!
I never understood how this happens, year for 2-5 years if you are clinging on but after that be kind and sell the things. Or even give them away to someone who can make some good of it.

I see fwd hot hatches of the past that struggled to control 300nm of torque without reefing the steering wheel out of the drivers hands. The Olds would have probably made double the torque, and from what I have read torque steer was never really an issue |

I love stories like this. Quite surprising that Porsche did not have one of the first 82 901/911's in their collection. Very rare car.
https://www.caradvice.com.au/861961/...arousel&slot=2 Porsche 911 1964 2.0 The true story behind Porsche's ultra-rare barn find How a German TV crew found a rare piece of Porsche history It’s hard to imagine today, but the Porsche 911 wasn’t always called the ‘911’. Having unveiled the successor to its popular 356 at the 1963 Frankfurt motor show it was billed as the Porsche 901, its internal project number. Production of the 901 started in the autumn of 1964 but a trademark dispute with Peugeot, which claimed it owned the rights for three-digit car numbers with a ‘0’ in the middle, went in favour of the French brand. Porsche duly changed the model’s designation to 911 and by the end of its first production year (1964), 235 examples had rolled off the Zuffenhausen production line. Of those, the first 82 were Porsche 901s, making it a rare beast in the pantheon of Porsche. It should be noted those 82 cars were badged as 911s, however, the chassis number and build number identifies them as 901 examples. How rare? Until 2014, Porsche did not have an original production 901 in its collection. That all changed, however, when a German TV production crew stumbled across two what appeared to be early Porsche 911s gathering dust and rust in a barn. |
