I'm so glad this exists, Because now I'm having this damn issue.

However I'm using the Areopro facia with double din unit and every single fuse is completely fine. Tested a few pins in the main plug for the unit and power is there.
I also plugged the old original ICC which worked in and nothing.

I've never been so confused in my life. Especially that it was working the day before, then started the car next morning and absolutely nothing on the ICC working. Absolute electrical nightmare.

This is such a painful issue.

Hi. Holding down the power button for more than 5 seconds turns on/off the screensaver function. It gives you better night vision when the lights are off when you are at the drive-in. Cheers MD

Its a feature. I do use it if for example doing a long trip at night on un lit roads. So to turn this feature on/off you hold the power button for a few seconds. Every time you make an input the screen will turn on for 5 or so seconds then back off again. So your icc is not faulty, its just a feature.

ICC PROBLEM
When I bought my fairlane the icc was working, it all of a sudden stopped working and the only way to get it to work again was to tap the side until that stopped working to. I replaced the whole icc except the bem to my dads icc and it did the exact same thing would work till I had to bang it to work then it stopped working one day. I’ve checked the big white icc plug everything works besides brake lights plug, I replaced the brake relay and checked it with a test light and it works but the fuse for it isn’t lighting up the test light. The wipers and flashers do work. The reverse lights don't work but they havent worked since I had the car. The radio works but no display I’ve tried pushing the main power button still did nothing. I’ve replaced all fuses and relays and still nothing. No buttons work besides the bottom buttons like traction control, trip button, lights and lock button.

if you have to 'thump' the ICC or next to it ....... the ICC connection pins in the white plug at the rear of said ICC have broken solder joints [where the pins join the circuit board] which is what is causing the issue. the only way [other than replacing with a known good working unit] to fix the issue is to resolder the cracked solder joins. also when you replace any ICC make sure the white plug in the dash is pulled all the way out till it clicks, so when you reinsert the ICC everything makes a good connection.

Everytime I’ve put a new icc in I’ve pulled the white plug till it clicks so I don’t ruin it. On the icc all the soldering point look to be not broken and look perfectly fine. All the pins in the icc are fine the white plug has no damage either.

I had my standard one in then changed it for my dads icc and when that died I put a piano black one in which also died. So in total three icc’s have died.

A guy came for dead ICC replacement for his BA XT falcon.

I installed another unit which didn't work either. I decided to install a tested working unit from my own territory to make sure that the unit being installed is fully working.

Event that unit didn't work.

At this point the owner of the car disclosed that he had bought another working ICC and tried to install but didn't work. So, he installed it back in the original car from which it came but unit was dead or in simple words unit was killed by his BA Falcon.

I was sure that his car has burnt 2 of my ICCs also.

To verify that I installed my previously working unit back into my territory and it was dead as expected. No display, now switches working.

I was left with 2 of my units rendered useless by his BA along with 2 hours of time.

Story didn't end here. Now I've tried another tested working unit in my territory but still the no display and none of the switches working.

I suspect that the BA Falcon may have a faulty BCM which is causing some voltage surge killing the ICCs.

But have no clue about my own Territory as even another tested working ICC is not working in it.

Before I start to replace and program the BCM in my territory I would appreciate the inputs from experts.

I have a few spare BCMs and ICCs, professional scan tool and tools for repairing motherboard if needed.

Thanks in advance.
Hey mate did you ever solve the problem? I’m currently in the same position and can’t get a rwc without my icc working, may I know what you did to solve your problem.
