Fully mad.

I got the week off so I'm going to be working on it all week, so I'll keep updating this thread as I do shit...not that anything interesting's happening.

I cleaned out my new fuel tank today and let it dry and also bought a new fuel gauge sender and fuel pump, along with some new fuel lines and a filter. Got home and put all the rest of the loom in, along with the power steering pump and starter motor wiring. Also put the cowl and wipers back on. Fully sick.

So then I started to take the fuel lines apart in the engine bay. They were all fused to the pipes and filter so I had to cut some. I was expecting gooey yucky muck to come out or slush out but I was surprised when about 100mL of off brown 13 year old fuel flowed out nicely (smells really bad....!!!). So that's a good sign I guess, my fuel lines should be sweet with a quick air clean. I'll do that tomorrow and throw the new tank etc. in.

After that I'll clean the motor and get Dellboy down here again!

Also, does anyone know if the brake fail warning switch can leak? My master cylinder is leaking from that area, so I tightened it up a bit. I have NFI how it works but yeah.

Can leak yeah, it has pressure behind it. Detects a leak in either brake circut, I'd explain it but I CBF :P

Yeah sick Rob, I tightened it all up and it seems fine for now.

I replaced the fuel tank and 3 of the 4 rubber lines today, along with cleaning out the actual metal pipes. Was a real **** job, I don't recommend it to anyone. Also put in the fuel filter and pump, along with sender.

And here's another weird *** difference between EA and EBs. The fuel sender float on the EA is way bigger than the EB one. I wonder why :

Tomorrow's dedicated to cleaning engine parts up, starting with the inlet manifold. Anyone want to come and help? : : :ymca:

just makesure the master cylinder isn't leaking air because it can cause a rough idle. Talking from experience, my EA falcon had a rusty master cylinder and it caused a periodic rough idle. Something to do with with the vacume????????

Cheers JJJ Looks sweet Sundeep.............. ...........
