i saw a guy using this stuff on a 1999 pulsar and it looked brand new, i'm going to try doing it tonight if the sun stays out long enough. I'll take a picture of it before and afterwards if it looks any better. got to blacken the tyres does anyone know whats best and long lasting for them?

for tyres i use the $3 can of Australian Export Tyre Shine. as long as u aint travelling down dirt roads too often it holds up for quite a while.

Carnauba wax is awesome stuff.
For the tyres I use Armor All Tyre Foam. 5ish dollars a can from Big W. Does a great job.

Armour All Wash and Wax has an amont of Carnauba wax in it. Tops it up every time you wash.

The only problem with carnauba wax is that it washes off again whenever you use a detergent such as car wash. Using plain water will not wash it off but then again plain water doesn't exactly do the best job when it comes to removing road grime.
Proper pure carnauba wax is flaky and has to be applied with a buffer so that it melts from the friction created by the buffer. Most of the carnauba waxes going round have other stuff mixed in so you can apply them by hand. Personally I wouldn't bother with it, it's too much work to wax your car after every wash. I like Nu-Finish. Remember Nu-Finish :P It's petroleum based and really does stay on after 52 washes!! |
