Default New EF.. Some advice

hey guys!

i just recently purchased a ford falcon EF manual

111,000kms

just wonderin what are the biggest rims you can fit legally without any trouble with insurance.. (17's?)

and what are the standard speaker sizes for the front doors and rear parcel shelf?

both front and rear speakers are 6".. depending on brand you can get 6.5" speakers in though.

wheels depends on ur insurance, i'd ring them and find out.
17's should be an issue, 18's depends on them.
some don't care, some do.

Do u know which brand/model 6.5" speakers have been known to fit?

Whats allowed by rta? i heard that u can have any size as long as you dont increase the rolling diamter by a certain amount?

All speakers will fit. Off memory EF have Pioneer speakers. Quality components (or splits) in the front and some 3 ways in the rear.

What state are you in??

You will have to check with your insurer and your traffic authority.
In Vic you can go as big as you like as long as you keep withing 10% rolling diameter. Insurance will have their terms too, so call them and ask.

Nope, but consider the depth of the speaker, deep speakers hit the window and thus won't fit properly.

hey got another problem... washed car all down... engine etc.. and now cruise control doesnt work...

the cruise light will come on but when i set acell it doesnt work... any ideas?

ha ha sorry done this with my EL did you use high preasure hose on it if so look at the throtle body you will see two cables there one 4 cruise, check the clip on it im sure it is broken...

Rule of thumb, width no wider than 1" wider than the biggest width available from factory.

You can have 21's, provided your tyres are the correct type and the width is only 1" wider than the biggest wheel available for that model.
