Oscillation @ 100 km/h

I test drove a new LX 3 door Fiesta today.
When I cruised at 100km/h and above, I noticed that the car had an annoying oscillation through the cabin.I had both windows closed, and the head unit was turned off.

Is this normal?

it a is new car yes?......as in brand new.....as in not many if any K's on the clock? Then it probably just needs to be run in. The shocks and springs will be stiffer for the first 500klm or so, and the engine will take time to bed. When i tested a newbie at the dealership she idled at 1200 and now sits at 900. Keep in mind that these cars are built in Germany and in essence designed with Autobarns in mind.

Although the 5sp GB does not lend itself to highway speeds, what you are noticing is not at all representitive of the model.

I often get mine up to 100-130 and never experienced any form of oscillation.

bman, it supposed to idle at 750rpm. Is your air-con on while the Fiesta is idling at 900rpm?

It's a brand new car with 50km on the clock.

The dealer found the problem with the car. Because the car has been sitting around in a holding yard for a year, the tyres had been flat spotted, which caused the car to oscillate.

Well I had flat spots on my tyres when I first bought my rims. As soon as I changed the tyres. The flat spot went away. But I found out what happened to the car the wheels came off. A pranged one

yeah 750 is probably closer to the mark......
