can some one tell me if the cam in these moters is belt or chain driven
if its a belt .when should it be replaced |

Chain driven mate. As for when it needs to be replaced, have you checked here?

yer you dont need to replace the timing belt, cause it doesn't have one... they are chain driven and should never need to be replaced, under normal circumstances

Even taxi usually doesn`t change chain belt
They use nomarly driven around 600 000km to 800 000km but I never see they replace chain belt...(I saw replace Engine) On normal condition I think you don`t need to worry about chain belt... Except If you drive Really High Revs all the times.. |

i drive a cab with over 800K no chain noise never been replaced original engine are these engines good or what
