Default Best place to buy a diff?

I live in a country town and there are no diff places around. i have gone through 2 standard diffs and am looking for an lsd. Where would the best place be to get one. i am looking for any ratio better than 3.08. i need to get the whole diff including axels sent up. any help would be good

what have you been doing to go through diffs?.... anyway, i'm sure there'd be plenty of wreckers in adelaide that would have wrecked xr's, i'm sure someone will correct me if i'm wrong, but i'm pretty sure xr6 hp's had 3.45 live axles in them, dunno if lsd is was standard or option

your pritty much correct as far as i know. ive got 3.45 lsd its good at 100 km/h it sits on 2000 rpm instead of 1800 rpm. its good but if i had to do it again i would have gone 3.9 instead on a standard car it'll get into the 15's high 15's and it' ll cut sick for sure. new tyres with a car load should be no real problem. but bewarned[B] it'll reduce your speed limiter. with the 3.45 it cuts out at about 160 km/h instead of 180 km/h with 3.9's ill guess timate 120>130 and your speedo will be out **** loads at 100 km/h its 15 km/h out and it varies with the speed your doing 110 20k out etc sits on 130.

I'm in the process of looking for an lsd as well. Have spoken to athol park ford wreckers here in adelaide. I was quoted about 750 for a complete live axle diff with lsd and 3.45's from an AU XR, just need to specify exactly what it's going into. As for speed limiting, they can supply higher spec XR tailshafts so you can up your speed limiter (i'll be hitting 200 on the back straight at mallala with the lsd!)
