It looks great IMO, I had black taillight on my EB for a while along with a black garnish, it looked tough as.
Downside, its illegal, although I drove around for a year with black taillights before I was finally warned to take it off by a copper or he'd defect me. You can take the tint off with prepsol and a rag plus a bit of elbow grease. Instead of tinting the whole taillight, first buy EF taillights with the clear indicator and just clear the red section of the taillight. Leave the clear section clear. I've seen this and it looks really nice. Only do a light tint tho so it just makes the red a nice dark red, plus cops are less likely to notice it. I'd suggest using a clear coat also to make it glossy. Quote:

well i was thinken of gettin it proffesionally tinted, not the spray on stuff. i've seen an ef xr with tinted tail lights and it looked good, but as you said they have the clear indicators, i have orange, dont no what would be best.

It's illegal and you'll probably get picked up for it, plus if someone smashes into the back of you they can fault you as they couldn't see your brake lights. It's up to you of course, you could try something like the tint I did, still leaves the reflectors and globes fully exposed.

i have done mine (not too dark) and i recon it looks great. personal opinion. and if u r going to do it do it yourself. get a can of 'nite shade' some masking tape and newspaper and your set. even take them off it is easier.
