Yep exactly what i thought as well, will be less cleaning and re-oiling and still allow high flow intake via the conical filter. God damn it makes my K&N panel filter look small where you work out the total filtering surface area.

Sounds great that you can get so much of a difference from simply swapping a pod. Did you take a "before" dyno run showing tractive effort? Because it would be great to see the "after" dyno results and compare the differences.

Not putting it on a dyno, whats the point of verifying something that has already given me a good gain. If forum readers want to do this mod then it is up to them, i am not glorifying this mod i am just saying that on my low km engine and vgc auto box. I have received good gains by fitting a conical filter that has a larger surface area than the stock paper or K&N panel filter available for the EL 6cyl Falcon factory airbox.

But once again it's a TORQUE MONSTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, it's good to know that people get satisfaction from modifying their cars, no matter what the mod is. I think I'd display a similar reaction if I slotted a 514 between the rails, but good on you for your enthusiasm.

Flange leads are the best brand. They're large bore, pink coloured. Bursons sell them.

Flange leads come in multiple different fittings too. Loose, Mid, and Tight

Some of them last for a lot more kms than lesser brands. There's a niche brand, I've forgotten their name but the code number for the leads is BU77-53CK5. They come with extra hardy plug sockets. The leads are brown.
